this poem is actually about me being bugged by mosquitoes at my house up north. they drove me crazy!! 'i applaud them' literally means i 'tepuk' them sampai mati la!
it is a fact that only female mosquitoes suck blood. i wanted this poem to have a rumi-like duality, with some e.e cummings' abstract text style (the '!' that separates suck blood to carry two different intention). this poem maybe about mosquitoes, but it also can be about a singing diva being murdered?
